Up Coming Events

Hey OA guys, this is Alex. I'm just posting this so you have an idea of what is going to be coming up for the next few months. We (the ceremony team that came to Bradely Smith's Arrow of Light Ceremony), discussed the formal dance-aka-"Ball", and I think that pretty much all of us thought that it is a good idea. I'm thinking maybe we can do the just OA with no fundraiser one sometime in November, and the fundraiser where the whole district can come sometime next year like my dad said. We would be asking girls to come__not as a date unless you are 16. But DO NOT ask the girls YET, because we don't have a final date set yet for it.
Also, the movie idea. If everyone can bring some money, I think that maybe we can go to a movie in a couple of weeks here. Don't worry about seating. I have already asked a few people, and got it all down. If anybody has any good ideas for a movie that we can watch, tell me. But please notify yourself that it has to be a movie that is clean (not rated R and...you get the idea), and it HAS TO BE A MOVIE THAT IS COMING UP IN THEATRES, OR ONE THAT IS GOING TO BE GOING FOR A WHILE. If it is going to be done previewing in theatres, then forget it. And another thing on that; absolutely NO friends can come to the movie with us. JUST OA. Not even if they are "almost in OA", or "have all of the requirements".
I am also thinking of an OA fun camp. We would just chillax, and have a good time. But that might be sometime in May because me and my troop are booked with campouts for the rest of the year. Sorry.
And a definite thing that I just thought of is that we could celebrate New Year's. But let's think of that later.
Well, thank you OA members that are ACTUALLY P.A.R.T.I.C.I.P.A.T.I.N.G. in these ceremonies and practices. And we will be ahving a Round Table on Thursday, October 15th, at the Main Street Chapel at 7:00 p.m. *be there earlier at like 6:50*. (The one right by Ed's that we have been meeting at). We will discuss the formal dance-aka-"Ball" idea and the movie idea then. THANK YOU ALL FOR EVERYTHING! You guys are all doing great, and keep up the good work. And I want to especiall thank Andrew and Steven. They have been memorizing their parts in the OA.
